Sapa Tribe

Sapa Tribe

This week's fashion around the world series is on Vietnam. Vietnam definitely has a unique fashion all on it's own. Its fashion is vibrant, colorful and extraordinary. The wedding picture is just gorgeous. Everyone looks so lovely and the bride and groom looks amazing with their traditional clothing. The Ao Dai reminds me of a dress that would be worn during the Renaissance. Gorgeous dresses! The Sapa's tribe clothing is so colorful and they are not afraid to mix patterns! They are amazing designers.

What do you think of Vietnam's fashion?

Always,

P.S. Next week will be on The Philippines and Taiwan!

Audrina was spotted wearing this at the airport. This look is perfect for those hot summer days. I love skinny jeans, but am too afraid of trying white ones as white makes you look bigger. :(
Take this look into the evening by wearing a layered gold necklace and a cocktail ring or bracelet. Take off those flip flops and trade them in for a sexy pair of heels.

JcPenny's Pennies From Heaven

On July 21st JcPenny came out with a program named Pennies from Heaven. Pennies from Heaven is affiliated with Afterschool Alliance. According to this non-profit agency every one out of every four students in the United States is unsupervised after school every day. Which can lead to problems, and some of them can be dangerous. Having activities for children after school will significantly help children from participating in dangerous activities or falling behind in their studies.

What can you do to support this action? Well, customers in this program collect virtual pennies and donate virtual pennies through various digital activities. Once JcPenny reaches 100 million virtual pennies they will donate $1 million to the afterschool cause.

You can collect virtual pennies by:
  • Sending a “lucky penny” to friends on Facebook using a customized application.
  • Watching the pennies from heaven commercial video.
  • Downloading the pennies from heaven ringtone.
  • Liking JcPenney on Facebook or following jcpenney on Twitter and.
  • Checking into a JcPenney store on Foursquare.
Also, beginning on July 31st customers can start donating in stores. When you purchase the limited edition coin purse by Olsenboye for $9.99, 100% of that sale will be donated to the Pennies for Heaven campaign.

Support our education system and start donating virtual pennies today!

Always,

Note: I was contacted by JcPenny to share this campaign with you. I am not being compensated.

Polyvore Outfit of the Week- To the Fair

To the Fair

We just went to the fair this past weekend and I was inspired to make a little collage of what to wear to your county or state fair. If your town or state is still scheduled to have a fair these can be the perfect outfits! Even if the fair is over for you, these outfits would even work for the park or an outdoor adventure. When I think of the fair I think of good all American fun. I was inspired to wear vintage pieces with modern touches.
I absolutely love the cream dress from Miss Selfridge. I have been eying it for a while.

What would you wear to the fair?

Topshop Fall 2011 Lookbook

I just looked at Topshop's fall preview lookbook and I am just smitten over it. I am so glad to see faux fur to return this season. It is so glamorous and timeless. It makes any outfit pop. I am also excited that the 70s trend will transfer into the fall and winter. You can see a little 70s in the last outfit. The one outfit that is absolutely on my wish list this fall is the fur coat in the second photo. Such a bold, glamorous statement.

The all grey monochromatic look is gorgeous and is done extremely well here.

I am loving all the purple touches. Purple is one of my favorite colors!

The texture of this dress is amazing and I haven't seen anything like it!

Wedding makeup and accessories in Laos

This week's fashion around the world series is on Cambodia and Laos. Cambodia and Laos is very much like the fashion in Thailand. Though they have some notable differences. Such as the Khmer dress, which is only seen in Cambodia. It reminds me of the prom dresses we wore to our prom. Because Laos and Thailand are so close together, the same tribes live in both countries. And because of that many of the tribes have the same fashion. Bright, beautiful colors with bold patterns, and it makes the clothing pop amongst the jungle background.
